About The Event

Bastille Day is the common name given to French National Day, which is celebrated on July 14th to celebrate the turning point in the French Revolution and the unity of the French people. Celebrations are held each year throughout France, and over 50 cities in the United States conduct annual celebrations, including right here in New Canaan.

Join us at the Roger Sherman Inn for our 10th Annual Bastille Day Saturday, July 14th at 5 PM. Recieve a Ricard complimentary featured cocktail upon arrival (5-5:30 PM) and play petanque—a game similar to bocce—on the lawn.

The day starts with Chef Francois Kwaku-Dongo's French-inspired passed hors-d'oeuvres like Charcuterie Bites and Escargot en Concotte. The meal continues with a Provencal Table Buffet with Salade Verte de Saison, Roast Provencal Chicken, and Steamed Lemon Broccoli Crown. (full menu below)
